API 6A Choke Valve
Vatac Choke Valves are available in styles of positive, adjustable, needle & orifice, pressures up to 15,000 PSI. Vatac Choke Valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with API-6A Product Specification Levels (PSL) 1 to 4, can be supplied in any of the API material classes suitable for temperature classification P thru U as standard, or K, L, or X to order. End connections are flanged and Union as standard. However, other connections are available, such as Line-pipe threaded and Hub ends can also be supplied on request.

Positive Choke Valve

Fixed Bean Positive Choke Valve 
» Size available from 1" to 7 1/16".
» Pressure rating ranges from 2000, 3000, 5000, 10000, 15000 psi and ANSI classes up to 4500#.
» Body/bonnet materials in carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel alloy and low alloy steel with 3mm finish nickel alloy cladded on wetted areas to suit different service conditions.
» Choke bean and choke bean adopter will be provided as per customer requirement. 

Bean size
The orifice size is in 1/64" diametrical increments. 1/64" to 128/64" bean size is a routine application. However Vatac manufacture choke bean up to 100mm (250/64") for customized application.

» Stellite lined for bigger flow passage from 64/64" onwards
» Solid nickel alloy bean for high H2S service
» Tungsten carbide lined having AISI 410 / 718 / 31803 steel carrier

The Vatac positive choke accept a replaceable fixed orifice flow bean (supplied separately) that is measured in 64ths of an inch. Adjustable chokes can be converted to positive chokes and vice versa by replacing the bonnet assembly and the seat or bean.
